William Turner, an English painter and watercolor artist, painted this view of Venice in 1935. Despite its title Venice, view of the porch Madonna della Salute, the painting does not represent real life. In fact, the artist didn't hesitate in modifying the landscape, changing the proportions in order to highlight the poetic effect of the work.
