Manuel Garcia y Rodriguez was a XIX century costumbrista (realist) painter from Andalusia. Very well-known, he received numerous prizes and participated in the 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris. In this work, he painted the beautiful gardens of the Alcazar palace in Seville - his home city.
