ALBERT STERNER
ADULTS WOODEN JIGSAW
1000 PIECES
Description
Hand-cut art wooden jigsaw puzzle of circa 1000 pieces - Made in France and environmentally friendly.
Although he was born in London, Albert Sterner was a 20th-century American illustrator and painter who worked for prestigious publications such as Harper's Magazine. His refined and expressive illustrations were frequently used alongside the writings of great authors such as Charles Dickens and Edgar Allan Poe. Created at the end of his career, this still life is in the collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington.
The varied patterns and colors in the painting will be enormously helpful in putting this large puzzle together. Take the time to appreciate the meticulous treatment of each texture - the glass and crystal that reflect the light, and the different fabrics that lend such movement to the scene!
Size: 16,5x18,9" approx.
