Henri Martin was a post-Impressionist painter from Toulouse, also classified as a symbolist poet. He completed public commissions in Paris at the Sorbonne, the Elysee and the State Council. in 1903, he also completed 10 large-format paintings to decorate the Capitole, the town hall in Toulouse, on two themes: the banks of the Garonne and the seasons.
