Julio Vila y Prades (1873-1930) was a Spanish painter and student of Joaquin Sorolla. In 1908, he completed Valencianos from a painting by his master. The canvas represents Sorolla's two daughters dressed in typical XIX-century Valencian costumes. The light floods the scene and adds shine to the bold colors of the figures' outfits.
