This large-format painting by Pieter Brueghel the Elder is on display at the Fine Arts Museum in Vienna. Brueghel built his Tower of Babel in the city of Antwerp, rapidly growing at his time. He depicted the activity reigning there in detail. By placing figures in the foreground, he gave his painting great depth.
