Claude Monet spent the summer of 1867 with family in Sainte-Adresse, a seaside resort on the Normand coast. He painted this sailboat race there, seen at high tide by well-dressed bourgeois. To help you sort out the pieces, spot the ones shaped as small clouds for the sky and waves for the sea. The painting can be admired at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
