Hugo Darnaut (1851-1937) was an Austrian landscape painter. Alongside his friend the painter Marie Egner, he is associated with the Austrian Impressionist movement Stimmungsimpressionismus. He developed an idyllic vision of landscape, as in this canvas which will immerse you in a calm atmosphere perfect for some resting.
