Hanna Hirsch-Pauli (1864-1940) was a Swedish painter who mainly dedicated herself to portraits and “plein air” painting. In this work dated 1887, using a classical composition, the artist takes inspiration from the Impressionists in the way she treats light. The painting is conserved at the Nationalmuseum of fine arts in Stockholm. By observing the pieces of the puzzle, you will notice the white elements, such as the cloth and the apron which are made up of a multitude of colors.
