This 19th century oil painting represents the façade of the St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice. Constructed in a Byzantine style, it is recognisable by its five majestic portals and its many marble columns. At the center of the work, we notice the four horses of Saint Mark, imposing bronze statues over two meters high. Piece by piece, you will discover all the subtleties of this superb Venetian architecture. You will love assembling the figures in the foreground who give life to the composition.
