This puzzle shows a harvest scene from the Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry, an illuminated masterpiece from the 15th century. Created by brothers Paul, Jean, and Herman de Limbourg, this miniature depicts peasant life and medieval architecture, with the Chateau de Saumur in the background. The signs of the zodiac dominate the scene, linking earthly and celestial time.
