Alexis Bruchon, an artist based in the French city of Clermont-Ferrand, mixes India ink and watercolors in his Art Deco inspired illustrations. In this cheerful Christmas scene, the adults prepare to enjoy the turkey while their children excitedly open their presents. The artist creates a magnificent color contrast between the warmth and vivid hues of Christmas and the blues of the outdoor landscape.

The way this large puzzle has been cut emphasizes this distinction between inside and outside. In the living room, it highlights the architecture, decorations and moving figures, while behind the large picture window, it brings out the imposing silhouette of the mountain, delicately topped with snow.
