This map of Paris, known under the name of the Map of Truschet and Hoyau, after its authors, is one of the first detailed topographical representations of the city. Found in Basel, it offers a valuable insight into mid-16th-century Paris. By assembling this puzzle, you will perhaps be surprised by its East-West orientation, typical of that period. The repetition of houses will give you a hard time but you can use the street names as guidance.
