Joan Miro was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1893. He was very creative, full of ideas and loved drawing. When he was 24, he went to Paris and met Picasso. He lived his life between France and Catalonia.
Miro took part in the Surrealist movement - a group of artists who sought to translate dreams into painting. He made collages, sculptures and ceramics. He developed a personal visual language, full of joyful, colourful signs.
In this large-format painting, two figures at play seem to want to catch the small ladders at the top. Miro has used all the colours of the rainbow!

The puzzles are eco-friendly and made from wood from renewable forests.
