Michel Zeno Diemer was a 19th Century German painter specializing in seascapes. He painted Istanbul and the Dardanelles Strait, depicting sailboats and steamships on the Sea of Marmara and the Bosphorus. This painting features the Ahirkapi Lighthouse and a view of the city from the sea. It is currently on display at the Pera Museum in Turkey.
