William Parrott was a XIX-century English painter. This work dated 1859 takes inspiration from his trips to Normandy. He loved painting the urban atmosphere and architecture there, like in this canvas which depicts Honfleur and is part of the collections of the Yale British Art Center. The artist also completed many paintings of the town of Rouen.
