In this autumnal Parisian scene, figurative artist Fabienne Delacroix pays tribute to color marchants. These artisans specialised in artists' supplies sold brushes, canvases and frames but above all the pigments essential for artistic creation. The profession thrived in the XIX century, offering painters a wide range of ready-to-use colors.

Stroll through one of the most iconic neighbourhoods of Paris. In the streets of Montmartre, not far from the Moulin de la Galette, the color merchant is in the midst of a conversation outside his shop. After assembling the foreground made up of figures on a walk, a pretty carriage and colorful shop fronts, you will appreciate the charm of the elegant Haussmannian façades.
